"Date Night" Hits the Big Screen
It's a match made in onscreen heaven. The movie "Date Night" made its big screen debut. Steve Carell and Tina Fey played a boring married couple from New Jersey. When their good family friends get a divorce, Carell and Fey start to question if their relationship is too bland.
The pair decides to go out of the normal routine and go to Manhattan for a night on the town. When they cannot get into the hip restaurant of their choice, they opt to steal the reservations of another couple. The mystery couple's name manages to get them into more trouble than the two could have ever imagined. The series of events take the dynamic duo's simple date night into one whirl wind of an adventure.
Steve Carell and Tina Fey are the sarcastic yet loving parents kids and teens everywhere wish they had. Their onscreen chemistry is absolute perfection. The audience will be laughing for hours.
There are many guest appearances including the steamy Mark Wahlberg who plays Tina Fey's old client. James Franco and Mila Kunis play the trashy, trouble-making couple whose reservation Carell and Fey have stolen.
Gossip Girls' Leighton Meister makes a brief onscreen appearance as the family babysitter. Mike Ruffalo and Saturday Night Live's Kristen Wiig play the soon to be divorced family friends of Carell and Fey.
The plot gets a little wacky, but Mark Wahlberg's abs are not too bad.
